"By leveraging our track record of service excellence and hospitality expertise, we are able to provide comprehensive property management and accommodation solutions that can help to address the growing housing needs of local councils"

Switch Housing, which is operated by the asset management and consultancy company, Switch Management Ltd, has launched a programme to source safe and secure residential accommodation for vulnerable families across the UK.
In partnership with councils and local authorities, the firm is seeking to address the UK’s affordable housing shortage by sourcing and providing accommodation solutions that enhance the quality of living for vulnerable families, while maximising asset potential for landlords.
Switch currently provides a range of housing services, including the provision of temporary accommodation through its expanding property portfolio and also offers purchasing and leasing programmes delivered with the support of its sector partners.
The firm manages tenancies on behalf of landlords, helping to minimise risk with a two-year rental guarantee and maintenance bonds in place for any repairs and is now seeking new partnerships with private residential landlords, who wish to provide their properties for the purpose of affordable housing.
Ryan Doyle, Group Sales and Business Development Director at Switch Management, said: “We first experienced the unique demands of social housing during the Covid-19 pandemic when we worked with Birmingham City Council to provide vulnerable families with places to live. This provided us with an in-depth understanding of the UK’s affordable housing shortage, and how individuals from every walk of life deserve a safe and secure place to live.
“By leveraging our track record of service excellence and hospitality expertise, we are able to provide comprehensive property management and accommodation solutions that can help to address the growing housing needs of local councils. Meanwhile, we are committed to working with responsible landlords to ensure families are located in good quality, compliant homes.”
Isha Shah, owner of four properties in London that are part of the Switch Housing programme, added: “In a time of economic uncertainty, Switch has given us the confidence that our assets are in safe hands, and will generate a guaranteed income without any additional admin. The team has essentially taken our keys for two years and will return them with our properties in the same condition and the rent fully paid.”
Ryan concluded: “We provide a unique range of values-based services and solutions, all delivered to the ‘Switch gold standard’, as part of our strong commitment to better serve the social housing sector and help address the UK’s affordable housing shortage. By working in close collaboration with councils, local authorities and landlords, we can deliver social housing solutions quickly and efficiently, helping to unlock new accommodation opportunities and, in turn, enhance the quality of living for families in need.”
