With the housing market back in action, HeatingForce has discovered which cities have the highest number of new homes and housing developments currently for sale, utilising Zoopla to collate figures for each of the UK cities analysed.
Birmingham is the UK city with the highest quantity of new build properties and developments currently for sale, with a total of 813 - 26% higher than its closest competitor. Considered a thriving and highly affordable city, Birmingham is a prime location for first-time buyers.
With one of the fastest growing populations in the UK, Manchester ranks second with 647 new build properties and developments currently for sale.
In third place is Liverpool, whose property market saw a 32% year-on-year increase in buyer interest in 2020, with a total of 544 new properties and developments currently for sale. Following in fourth place is Salford with 517 new builds for sale on Zoopla.
Nottingham (265), Edinburgh (191), Leeds (174), Bristol (164) and Glasgow (160) all have over 160 new build properties and developments available to buy, respectively ranking fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth.
