A short walk from the infamous Old Course, Golf Place has an average house price of £1,975,000.

With 12 of Scotland’s top 20 most expensive streets, and eight of the top 10, Edinburgh dominates the table. Aberdeen now only accounts for two of the most prestigious locations, and a new entry from Glasgow into the top 20 means the city now has four of the priciest streets in Scotland.

Ann Street in Edinburgh’s trendy Stockbridge area is not only one of the most expensive streets in Scotland, with average house prices of £1,707,000, it also has the country’s second highest price tag. Northumberland Street is the capital’s second most expensive street (£1,537,000) and Heriot Row (£1,503,000) remains in third place.

In Aberdeen, Loirsbank Road which sits at the cusp of Deeside Golf Course near Bieldside, has taken the top spot with an average house price of £1,218,000 but not far behind is Rubislaw Den South (£1,195,000).

In Glasgow, Earls Gate, which lies between the affluent suburbs of Uddingston and Bothwell, is the city’s newly crowned most expensive street with a price tag of £1,125,000. Bearsden is home to the second and third most expensive addresses with Manse Road in second place (£1,123,000) and Grange Road (£1,117,000) in third.

Ricky Diggins, director at Bank of Scotland, said, “For the second consecutive year, no location in Scotland is on a par with St. Andrews when it comes to the country’s most prestigious addresses. It’s good to see a new entry from Glasgow, creating four of the most expensive streets in the city, and not just in the traditionally expensive west end.

It’s no surprise that the capital dominates the majority of the top spots, particularly given the average house price continues to be among the highest in the country.”
