Property IT specialist, Quest, has launched QuestCommercial.co.uk, a new online hub that makes it simple for commercial property agents, conveyancers, brokers and facilities managers to order Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for public buildings, and Air Conditioning (AC) reports for both commercial and public buildings.

By registering online, property professionals submit a quotation request for the report(s) of their choice, which is automatically transferred to Legal & General panel management. With access to over 800 registered local Commercial Energy Assessors (CEAs) and 25 national CEA Panel firms, the quotation request is then distributed to a number of national and local CEA firms, inviting them to tender.

Once a minimum of three quotes have been submitted, the property professional is then notified via email and the order can be placed, tracked and reviewed online. The service has no set-up costs and offers a useful, streamlined service to property professionals and an opportunity for BRE accredited CEAs to generate additional revenues.

Commenting on the launch, Chris Broadbent, director of BRE said:

“The launch of QuestCommercial.co.uk represents an important step forward in providing members of the BRE Global Accreditation Schemes with access to new and additional EPC and DEC instructions.

"Only BRE Global scheme members will be able to access work generated through Quest Commercial and, as such, they will be able to capitalise on this new opportunity for business development.  This is part of BRE Global's ongoing commitment to "Delivering Quality, Integrity and Opportunity" for all scheme members.”

James Sherwood-Rogers, managing director, Quest said:

“The new QuestCommercial.co.uk service could be seen as a specialist match-making service for property professionals and Commercial Energy Assessors: property professionals are looking to access various reports and assessments for compliance purposes and so we have created a way to easily connect them to a network of local and national CEAs.

"It makes the ordering process much easier and quicker.  It’s also an attractive service to Assessors, as they have the opportunity to potentially generate more business by being registered to the service.”
