The platform, which has been in production since September 2019, will be launching its first phase - a property search portal for investors, driven by data - as of today (Monday 24th August).
The co-founders of the platform, Robert Jones and Dr Simone Di Cola, say that the search functionality uses intelligent searching, sorting, and filters as well as extensive research to help investors find buy-to-let property investments in the UK. Investors will be able to search by criteria such as yield, refurbishment level required and type of property.
Jones' background in the property market, including working for Beresford Adams/Countrywide and then amassing his own portfolio, combined with Dr Di Cola's experience as a software engineer, is what they say gives property.xyz its value for property investors. Previously, Jones founded the Property Investments UK website.
The platform will be free for property buyers to use, and agents can also list their properties for free. Jones said the business will generate revenue by offering monetised premium listings.
Robert Jones, co-founder, said the site would help target property investors specifically:
“Often these buyers are active in property communities and forums, or are searching organic search in Google. Many also rely on recommendations from letting agents on what might make a good buy-to-let. This is where partnerships can really excel, as well as providing other features like our 'research' feature, where a buyer can research any property in just a couple of seconds. So it's valuable for buyers and agents.”
