The auction – on Thursday 22nd May at the iPro Stadium – saw more than £3m in sales secured for clients with half the properties selling for over 20 per cent more than their guide price demonstrating not only that the property market is continuing to prosper but property auctions are still rising in popularity.

Graham Penny, auctioneer at Graham Penny Auctions, commented:

“A number of our lots this month secured fantastic sale prices. The interest and enthusiastic auction room bidding on two properties, one in Matlock and one close to Derby city centre, actually drove the sale price to more than 50 per cent above their guide prices.”

The next auction in Derby is on Thursday 10th July at the iPro Stadium and Graham Penny Auctions is offering free valuations and appraisals for anyone interested in selling by auction, plus there is a step by step guide to buying and selling at auction available on the website.

With 21 auctions per year at the iPro Stadium in Derby, Nottingham Racecourse and the King Power Stadium in Leicester Graham Penny Auctions dominates the region’s house and property auction market in terms of lots offered, lots sold and revenue raised and continues to stay well ahead of its rivals across the East Midlands.

Graham added:

“Residential property auction figures released this month show the average success rate of our Derby auction centre is 7.8 per cent higher than the national average so you really can get the best price by selling your property at auction.”
