International rental investors 'recognising north-west's potential'

Letting agents in the north-west may have noted a rise in the number of foreign investors looking to purchase rental properties, as interest is said to be expanding to outside of London

Chief executive of FreshStart Living Charlie Cunningham explained how Manchester and Salford have become hotspots in recent years, as property prices in the capital continue to rise.

The expert claimed that entry-level investors cannot afford homes in London and so they are turning to other big cities in the north.

"This can be put down to the likes of the world-renowned BBC relocating to Salford, which brings credibility and raises awareness of the region that may have been unknown to investors overseas previously," Mr Cunningham commented.

It was noted that properties in Manchester and Salford are more affordable and people can get more for their money, as well as securing a good return on investment, as rental demand remains high.
