The office in Northampton will allow the housebuilder to expand into Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
Miller has promoted senior staff to drive the new region. Ben Massey will lead the area, having been promoted to MD for East and South Midlands. Most recently regional MD, he joined Miller in 2001 as a graduate land buyer, progressing to senior roles including taking responsibility for the East Midlands region in 2017.
Meanwhile, Gavin Jones will take day-to-day responsibility for the region as regional operations director after more than six years as regional production director in the East Midlands.
He will be joined by Lewis Brown, the new regional land director, who was previously a strategic land director at land promotion company Wallace Land Investments. Miler acquired the company last year. And Jake Richardson is the new technical manager for the South Midlands after his promotion from engineer manager in the East Midlands.
Miller’s new region adds to its nine other UK strategic regional locations, including Scotland East, Scotland West, the North East, Teesside, Yorkshire, North West and South, as well as existing offices in the East and West Midlands.
Danny O’Connor, divisional MD for Miller Homes Midlands and South, said: “Our expansion into the South Midlands provides many exciting opportunities as there is currently high demand for new homes in the region. We already have a number of land interests and will be announcing our first land deal and development plans in the coming weeks.”
