The aim of the day was to unite agents across the UK in fundraising efforts, for a 24-hour period, bringing communities together to have fun and support the Agents Giving effort.
Paramount Properties held a World Cup Day in the office in which every member of staff had to dress as their allocated country (even during property viewings!) and bring in food originating from that country to sell. Paramount West Hampstead raised £3,500 from sponsorship and sales.
Trend & Thomas had a Wendy House in their office and invited children from local schools and nurseries to come and decorate it for £1 a go. The fully-decorated Wendy House will be assembled and auctioned off. Trend & Thomas has raised £575 so far and has matched this total to bring the final sum to £1,200.
Reapit ran a “Beat the Whale” competition in the form of a football penalty shoot-out, defended by Simon Whale, at the Lettings Live Conference which has raised £500 so far with further pledges to come. Reapit is going to match the total from its business.
Simon Whale, Director at Reapit and subject of the shoot-out, commented: “Reapit is delighted to be a supporter of Agents Giving. We all had great fun on our stand at Lettings Live with #beatthewhale, and I think the agents enjoyed having the opportunity to pelt me with footballs too! I’m just glad we opted for the foam ball. Thank you to everyone that took part.”
Peter Knight, Agents Giving Chairman, commented: “The first Agents Giving Day has been a success with agents across the country getting together and engaging in a whole range of activities.
We raised over £5,000 for good causes and would like to thank all the agents who gave up their time to participate. We hope that a by-product of all this is to demonstrate the charitable nature of agents and boost our reputation.”
