Bespoke advertisements for both membership organisations have been produced by Tristar Television and will be airing on channels including ITV4, Home, Sky Atlantic, Sky Livingit and Discovery Home & Health this week for the NAEA version and from 13 January for the ARLA equivalent.

Targeting viewers likely to be interested in property issues, the advertisements remind consumers of the importance of choosing a licensed agent in the unregulated sales and lettings industry.

The advertisements employ a striking and clear style, to complement and reinforce the existing visual identities of the NAEA and ARLA.

The campaigns also introduce a new strap-line for both organisations – ‘leading you home’ – designed to reflect the importance of sound choices when appointing an agent to work with on any aspect of property ownership or rental.

Mark Hayward, Managing Director of NAEA, said:

“We are delighted with the finished product and we’re really looking forward to the first airing of these adverts. It is essential that consumers, whether buying or letting, look for NAEA and ARLA logos for peace of mind throughout the process. These advertisements were commissioned to help the public avoid unscrupulous agents who may, sadly, not have their clients’ best interests at heart.”

Ian Potter, Managing Director of ARLA, said:

“Millions of tenants rely on the private rented sector for their homes, and using an ARLA member is the best way to ensure you are dealing with a professional agent. As well as offering the best possible advice, the ARLA code of conduct also gives tenants peace of mind and a route to redress if anything does go wrong. We hope this advertising campaign will help to further boost our members’ profile nationally and get consumers looking for the logo locally.”
