Following MCR Property Group’s expansion into London during 2018 on the back of an impressive year of results, the company has recruited for senior, management and entry-level positions.

With a pipeline of 10,000 units equating to more than £2billion, these strategic appointments will facilitate MCR Property Group’s 2019 plans. The firm anticipates this figure to increase to 15,000 units annually over the next five years, resulting in £3billion of development annually.

The group has welcomed Vanessa Bartulovic as development manager, bringing 20 years’ experience in director-level roles on high profile developments across EMEA with Canary Wharf Group and Morgan Stanley.

With Grimshaw Architects, Vanessa has been instrumental in the design and delivery of one million sq. ft. of global corporate headquarters, residential development at Greenwich Peninsula and award-winning projects, including the Eden Project in Cornwall. She has also worked on World Heritage Fund projects and development strategy in Europe.

William Sharpey has also joined the team as a development manager, with more than a decade’s experience in building surveying. He joins MCR Property Group from Trident Building Consultancy Ltd, where he worked for almost five years, most recently as an associate director.

Mark Peace has been appointed as acquisitions and development manager. His senior experience spans strategic investment and development roles at private developers, including F3GROUP; FTSE 250 property companies and multinationals; as well as Nationwide Building Society.

In his career, Mark has been responsible for bringing £4billion of prime residential and commercial to market on strategic land throughout Greater London and the UK. Notable schemes include 1 – 4 Capital Interchange Way in Brentwood, a mixed-use development with a GDV of £390million.

He will be assisted by Henry Darkin, who will take up the role of junior development manager.

The company has also added significantly to its project management team, including Emrah Coskun, who has joined as a senior project manager; Matthew Betts and Sasha Kulidzan have been appointed as project managers, while Jesse Gold takes up an assistant project manager role.

The group has also hired two graduate project managers, Adam Isdale and Charles Mitchell, as well as graduate assistant, Ross Coulson Douglas.

MCR Property Group opened its Mayfair office in October 2016, with plans to relocate in Q1 2019 to accommodate its expanding team. The business will continue to recruit for new positions throughout 2019 in London and has outlined its intentions to target the wider European market also.

Chris Taylor, fund manager of MCR Property Group, said: “Our move into London is at the heart of our ambitious growth plans for 2019 and beyond. We aim to deliver high quality developments in areas with significant demand, which is why London and its surrounding commuter towns are a major focus for us.

People are integral to our operation and we are investing heavily in attracting the very best talent to the MCR team. We’re thrilled to welcome our latest recruits to the team to help us drive forward our strategy across the UK and Europe.”
