The Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA)’s Level 4 Certificate, which takes 280 hours of study, was introduced in November 2011; it builds on a foundation of certificates with the aim to raise standards of professionalism in residential lettings.

In order to register for the Level 4 Certificate candidates must hold the NFOPP Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management. It covers a range of topics, including legal issues relating to lettings, practice, and office management.

Ian Potter, Managing Director of ARLA, said:

“Professional qualifications are integral to many industries and sectors.  They help provide employees with industry-specific skills and demonstrate a commitment to training and career development.

With strong competition for employment, professional qualifications can differentiate the certificate holder as someone who is serious about the sector.  To get to Level 4, achievements of this higher level qualification show immense commitment to the sector and could even help in getting a promotion.

For the consumer, these kinds of qualifications help reinforce that ARLA member letting agents are dedicated, trained professionals.”

The successful candidates who received their level 4 certificates from Ian Potter are Nicola Blake, Belinda Bracegirdle, Jane Gardner, Sue Maaz, Jane Smith, Sian Taylor, Allison Turner, Andrew Bald and Lerri Calligher.
