The forum will be held in Norwich on Wednesday 16th February at the Barnham Broom Hotel, Barnham Broom, Norwich, Norfolk NR9 4DD. Proceedings begin at 10am and finish at 1pm - free parking is available and all attendees will be provided with lunch.
Bridgewater’s Broker Forums provide equity release advisers, or those looking at entering the sector, with an opportunity to discuss a whole range of issues surrounding the market, in an informal setting. Bridgewater staff chair the meeting and are on hand to offer valuable information and support about a variety of equity release-related topics.
The agenda of the meetings is determined by the wants and needs of forum attendees, however Bridgewater also ensure that a strong discussion takes place covering the home reversion market, product availability, the type of customers reversions are suitable for and their appropriateness in today’s economic climate.
Other subject areas which are often debated including marketing/lead generation, the issue of State Benefits for potential equity release customers, the regulatory landscape, how to offer a fee-based model for advice, and ensuring best practice.
Places at the Norwich Forum are strictly limited and those advisers wishing to register or enquire about the event should contact Victoria Barone on 0191-269 5980
Peter Welch, Head of Sales and Distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, commented:
“It is vitally important for Bridgewater as an intermediary provider of home reversion plans to get out into the country and meet with those advisers currently practising in this area and also those who may be looking to enter the sector.
"We achieve this through our Broker Forum events which kick-off this year in Norwich but will also be taking place across the UK during the rest of 2011. Coming soon after our Business Planning Workshops, these forums provide a much-needed informal environment for advisers to discuss the sector and the key concerns and issues which they are confronted with on a day to day basis.
"Bridgewater staff are always on hand to provide the information and help attendees are looking for and the events are also a welcome opportunity for networking and conversing with one’s peers and colleagues. These events are always well-attended which is why any adviser interested in coming along should contact us immediately to secure a place.
"We look forward to meeting with advisers in the Norwich area and believe the event will be a rewarding experience for all those who do attend.”
