"Once again, we will be conducting our next auction at the Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge where bidders will be able to participate in person, online, by phone and by proxy"
Last month saw Allsop residential auctions return to the ballroom following three years of online-only trading. The May auction subsequently raised over £47m+ from the sale of 136 lots, demonstrating investors’ ongoing appetite for deal-making despite the announcement of the latest Bank of England rate rise on the day of the auction.
The latest catalogue features a mixture of investment and development opportunities across the UK, including houses and flats, ground rent investments and development sites as well as less conventional assets, such as air space, a care home and a former church.
Auction highlights include Lot 54: a freehold block of 34 self-contained flats in Surrey, with 26 flats subject to assured shorthold tenancies and eight flats sold off, with the total current rent reserved of £292,763 per annum, guided at £4.5m+, Lot 42: a mixed-use development/investment opportunity in Kingston upon Thames, comprising a former pub extending to approximately 10,000 sq ft and five self-contained two-bedroom flats, all with a direct view of the River Thames, guided at £3.25m+, and Lot 21: a freehold four-storey building in Marylebone, extending to approximately 2,800 sq ft, comprising a vacant commercial unit (class E) with a vacant four-bedroom flat above, guided at £2.55m+
Richard Adamson, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said: “Following the success of our first in-room auction in three years in May, we are delighted to release our June catalogue. Once again, we will be conducting our next auction at the Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge where bidders will be able to participate in person, online, by phone and by proxy.
"The new catalogue offers enticing opportunities across the country, including a number of exceptionally high-quality investment and development opportunities. In an economic climate with high inflation and rising borrowing costs, this catalogue offers plenty of opportunities for buyers looking for income as well as value-add opportunities.”
